• Smart phones for prevention in the Emergency Department
Usage of smartphones lead to additional uptake of vaccines, then there is the potential of improving the public health in other areas of vaccine preventable diseases such as MMR, Hepatitis A and B, and influenza vaccines.

  • Mixed model variance adjustments
Multiple imputation (MI) techniques are approaches to replacing missing values so that complete-data analysis methods may be employed. Our goal was to use multiple imputation techniques to impute missing values for independent variables in a longitudinal study setting

  • Mitochondrial dynamics in degenerative disease and disease models
An important step in creating models of mitochondrial disease is to determine specific mechanisms of oxidative damage, or specific triggers for cell death cascades and whether or not these are conserved between distinct causes of pathogenesis.

  • Joint modeling data: application to HIV study
Joint modeling is the most sophisticated complex approach but enables the repeated biomarker measurements and survival processes to be modelled while accounting for the interrelationship between the two processes. Use of joint modeling in analysis of an HIV data set has been demonstrated.

  • Use of high activity enzyme preparations in neat organic solvents for organic synthesis
Use of Enzymes in low water media for large scale organic synthesis is underexploited. There is an understandable diffidence on the part of organic chemists to switch over to these less familiar catalysts. None of the high activity preparations described here involve any skill or technology which is beyond an organic chemist or an organic chemistry laboratory

  • Curcumin and its derivatives in breast cancer
Curcumin is an exciting potential chemotherapeutic. It is obtained from the roots and rhizomes of the perennial plant Curcuma longa, is cytotoxic towards both ER+ and TNBC cells. Curcumin and its derivatives show future potential as a powerful broad-spectrum treatment for breast cancer.

  • N-Acetyl-?-endorphin suppresses atopic dermatitis in NC/Nga mice
?-End or acetyl-?-End treatment can suppress the symptoms of Atopic Dermatitis in the mice, and that the effect of the ?-End is induced by the acetylation of the ?-End by Histone acetyltransferase inhibitor

  • Role of PPP2R3C in GR-mediated negative regulation
Studies shows that the role of PPP2R3C in GR-mediated negative regulation of target genes where knocking down PPP2R3C increased GR level. Glucocorticoids are widely used in cancer therapy and resistance to treatment is a common occurrence. the data presented here could be useful in designing treatment regimens for patients.

  • Expression of NOTCH2 in epithelial ovarian cancer
Decreased NOTCH2 expression is associated with the poorly differentiated serous epithelial ovarian carcinoma histology. Further studies are needed to assess the functional role of NOTCH2 in ovarian cancer and its effect on prognosis.
