His research area interest includes thyroid, osteoporosis & other bone disorder, autoimmune disorders. His main research focus over the last few years was to address the nature and significance of orbital antigens, in particular calsequestrin 1 (CASQ1) and collagen XIII.

Dr. Justo P. Castaño
is currently working as a professor of Cell Biology, University of Cordoba, Spain and also as a Head of the Hormones and Cancer Research Group of the Maimonides Institute of Biomedical Research of Córdoba. His major research interest include the regulation of pituitary cell types by neuropeptides, somatostatin, cortistatin, GHRH, ghrelin, and kisspeptins, molecular biology of these peptides, their receptors and signaling pathways in health and disease.
