What type of articles do you publish?

What is Impact Factor (IF)?

According to Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Impact Factor (IF) is a measurement of frequency of cited articles in a journal in a particular year. It is calculated as a ratio between number of citations in a particular year for the articles in a journal to the number of articles published in that journal during previous two years.

What is DOI?top

DOI is an abbreviated form for Digital Objective Identifier, a permanent unique identifier for an electronic document used to cite and link the published article electronically. Herbert Publications is a registered member of CrossRef and provide DOI for all the published articles immediately.

How long does it take a manuscript to complete publication process?

Herbert Publications is committed to provide rapid publication process and aims to complete the whole process in 7 weeks. For more details refer to our Peer-Review policy.

How are the articles peer reviewed?

Herbert Publications adopts COPE and ICMJE guidelines to attain standard peer review system. All journals from Herbert Publications operate single-blinded peer review process.

Do you charge for a manuscript submission?

Herbert Publications do not charge any manuscript submission fee. The author will be asked to pay the article processing charge, only when a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

How much an author will be charged for an article to be published?

The publication charge for an article varies accordingly to the journal. For more details visit Article Processing Charges.

Why should an author pay the article processing charge?top

Open Access publishing is not free of cost to the author. Herbert Publications is an independent organization and hold no affiliations with any funding organizations. It is dedicated to provide immediate barrier-free open access to all its research content permanently for any internet user in the world. Herbert Publications ask for an affordable article processing charge from the author to cover the cost of producing full text and PDF formats as well as archiving and indexing the published articles permanently.

Can the charges be waived if the author cannot afford the charge?

Up to 50% Waiver in the Article Processing Charge will be granted to the Authors with no funds from low- and middle income countries. For more details on the listed countries, please Click Here. Authors are firmly suggested to explain and ask for a waiver or discount during manuscript submission only.

When should an author pay the article processing charge?

The author will be asked to pay only when the manuscript completes peer review process and received editorial acceptance for publication.

Do you have any Authorship Agreement under pre-publication process?

Once the manuscript has been accepted for publication, the author will be asked to sign an Open Access Authorship Agreement and approve the article for publication after final formatting corrections in parallel with the formatting invoice and payment process.

What currency do you accept?

Payments can be done only in US ($) Dollars.

What if the article is not published after an author pay the article processing charge?top

In accordance to refund policy, Herbert Publications will, at its discretion, allow for the repay in case an article has not been published within 30 days from the date of payment after the manuscript has received editorial acceptance in principle.

Can the author cancel the publication?

Herbert Publications does not encourage cancellation or refund once the article is published online since this is done after author's approval of our Open Access Authorship Agreement.

Do you have reprint service?

In concern to promote the research of any author, Herbert Publications extends its services to reprint the published articles and reproduce with professional quality. We also offer copies for commercial use and more details available from Reprint page.

Does Herbert Publications impose any copyright restrictions?

In accordance to Creative Commons Attribution License authors retain copyright for their articles and provided permanent online access for free.

What is the preferred reference format for citations?top

Herbert Open Access Journals uses the numbered citation (citation-sequence) method. References are listed and numbered in the order that they appear in the text. In the text, citations should be indicated by the reference number in brackets. For more details please refer to author guidelines.

Where the published articles will be indexed?

Herbert Publications has been indexing most of its journal articles with Index Copernicus, Google Scholar, CAS, PubsHub, DOAJ.
Some Journals of Herbert Publications are under evaluation process for major services like Index Copernicus, CABI and CAS.

Herbert Publications focus on achieving indexing services from AGRICOLA, Citebase, EBSCO, Embase, JSTOR, MEDLINE, Pubmed Central, Scimago, Scopus, Socolar, Zetoc etc.

Will the articles be indexed in PubMed?

Herbert Publications aims to index all its articles in PubMed and it has taken the process to fulfill indexing requirements. However, Herbert Publications consider articles with grants from NIH for immediate submission to PubMed indexing.
