Carcinogenesis
Journal of Cancer Therapetics & Research Open access Journal contains special section Carcinogenesis covers the study of cells undergoing carcinogenesis with uncontrolled mutagenesis. It includes every aspect of biochemical mechanisms in relation to the cancer development. Also the focus is on medicinal research from diagnostic testing to monitoring of tumor progression through modulating agents and molecular epidemiology, examination of cells and tissues.
Carcinogens
Carcinogens are the root cause for the formation of cancer. In which the normal cells are transformed to cancer cells by the process of mutation. Genotoxic and Nongenotoxic agents disrupt the orderly process of proliferation and programmed cell death which results in uncontrolled cell division. Chemical agents like N-methyl-N-nitrosourea (MNU) or non-chemical agents such as ultraviolet light and ionizing radiation. Nongenotoxic agents do not directly affect, but act in other ways to promote cancer. Carcinogenesis can be divided conceptually into four steps: tumor initiation, tumor promotion, malignant conversion, and tumor progression.
